My name is Mark Cousens, I’m a hypnotherapist based in Folkestone, Kent. I have been running my practice, Tranceformation Hypnotherapy, since 2016. My practice is based in Core Therapies, Tontine Street, where I am fortunate to work with a lovely group of therapists.
I live in Folkestone with my wife, three children, three cats, two dogs and a rabbit. Over the years worked as a Benefit Advisor for the Dept of Social Security, a Graphic Designer and a Third Line Support Engineer. However being a hypnotherapist is by far the most satisfying and rewarding job I have ever had!
My aim is to help people overcome negative thoughts, feeling and behaviours. This is key because until we overcome these negative things we can’t move forward. Of course I also want my clients to enjoy their time with me. So I make sure the sessions are not only effective but gentle and relaxing too.
Why I became a therapist
Like most therapists, my interest was sparked after experiencing therapy first hand. In my case it was hypnotherapy for a fear of heights. After just one session my fear was gone, I was blown away by how effective it was!
This led to me enrolling at the Chartered School of Hypnotherapists in Deal, where I achieved my qualification a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Since then I have also studied Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and many other techniques. I’m registered with the Complimentary & Natural Healthcare Council and I hold full public liability insurance with Balens. So you can rest assured that when you work with me you are in safe hands!
So if you’re ready to make positive change in your life, you can start the process simply by getting in touch to arrange a free, informal, no-obligation chat.
